The Epoch Series is KB-S’s most ambitious undertaking to date: a long-form musical mythology tracing the history of the universe as he sees and feels it. From the chaos of the Big Bang to the hush of the Ice Age (until the next EP), each installment rewinds time to explore a different phase of existence through sound—no textbooks, no rules, just intuition, emotion, and deep creative curiosity. Every project is its own ecosystem, distinct in tone and texture, but together they form a sweeping audio timeline: atmospheric, grounded, weird, beautiful, and ever-expanding.
The second installment in the Epoch Series.
Beta dives deep into the weirdness of life before memory. Alien, organic, and unrecognizable, this chapter captures the strange chaos of Earth’s earliest organisms—the bubbling unknown, the first pulses in the dark. Sonically unpredictable and often abstract, each track feels like something half-formed, still mutating, still deciding what it wants to be. It’s uncomfortable and curious in equal measure. This is life before structure. Before scale. Before anything made sense.
